Why Paranormal Science Needs Private Support
Public agencies rarely fund careful research on anomalous experiences, even when the methods are as rigorous as mainstream science. Yet reports of hauntings, unusual experiences, and unknown aerial phenomena are common, and they raise legitimate questions about perception, consciousness, and the environments we live in.
Private philanthropy has become a major engine for new scientific directions, especially when fields are under‑served by traditional funders. Your support allows us to build a small but serious research program in New Hampshire focused on measurable data, careful controls, and open results—not on sensationalism.
What Your Support Makes Possible
With sustained funding, the Paranormal Science Initiative can:
- Build and operate the Granite State PSI Laboratory
- Maintain a dedicated, sensor‑equipped space for environmental and human‑participant experiments in Southern New Hampshire.
- Run IRB‑reviewed human‑subject studies
- Support the Group‑Optimized Psi project and similar longitudinal experiments on anomalous cognition and mind–matter interaction, with independent ethics review and strong data protection.
- Investigate real‑world reports with proper controls
- Develop instrumentation and protocols to study hauntings, cryptid reports, and UAP/UFO events, starting with quantitative baselines so that any claimed anomalies can be evaluated against “normal” patterns.
- Publish open, citable science
Even modest gifts matter. In many areas of science, a single focused donor or small foundation has been enough to seed an entire new line of inquiry.
Ways to Support the Initiative
You can choose how closely you want to be involved:
- Core operations support
- Unrestricted gifts keep the lab open: rent, basic staff time, data storage, insurance, and independent IRB review.
- Project‑specific funding
- Fund a defined project such as:
- A year of Group‑Optimized Psi sessions for a cohort.
- A new sensor suite for field investigations at historically important NH sites.
- An open‑access publication and data‑release package.
- Fund a defined project such as:
- Strategic and legacy gifts
If you are a foundation or institutional funder, we can work with you to define clear milestones, governance, and reporting aligned with your priorities.
How We Steward Your Gift
The Initiative is being structured as a New Hampshire–based nonprofit organization with:
- A volunteer board of directors providing governance and oversight.
- Formal conflict‑of‑interest and data‑protection policies for all staff and collaborators.
- A commitment to open methods and transparent reporting, including preregistration and sharing of protocols.
- Annual financial reporting to state authorities and the IRS, and project‑level reporting to major donors.
We do not sell data, rent donor lists, or monetize participants; the goal is to build a small, durable research program whose outputs are scientific publications, open datasets, and public education.
Talk With Us
Every donor has different reasons for caring about this subject—personal experiences, interest in consciousness, curiosity about unexplained reports, or a desire to support rigorous open science where others will not.

We are happy to arrange:
- A private call to discuss your interests and values.
- A visit to the lab once it is fully operational.
- A tailored concept note outlining what your support could accomplish over 1–5 years.
